Throwing everything off my desk, kicking my laptop across the room, and punching a hole through my lounge room door, hasn't helped with my anger. It's not even true anger really; it's more like a helpless, burning desperation, an inexplicable fear, and guilt, that is making me irrational in my response to the events of the night. I try to calm myself as I watch Austin answer his phone, his hands roughly pushing through his dark hair in agitation. I hope that's his brother calling so we can let the other two know what went down at the pub and begin making plans to get our girl back.

I can't believe we are in this situation. It all happened so quickly. One minute we were sitting on the bar stools keeping a watch as Aria was hit on by young drunkards, next we were caught up in some sort of fight that basically pushed us right away from her. A few minutes later we turn to the bar to find Sarah calling out to our girl, spinning in circles looking for her, and beginning to panic. At that stage, I still wasn't concerned, thinking that Aria would have taken herself away from the situation and would be waiting for the all-clear from us. After a couple of minutes of looking, my viewpoint changed. She was gone.

Her boss, Dean, shut the place down and we frantically searched. Inside, outside, all the hidden rooms and entrances. My sweetheart wasn’t anywhere. Austin began calling the guys. Sarah and Jay ran back to Raff's apartment. Even Dean looked white in the face and began scouring through security footage as I hovered over his shoulder. While his camera set-up is minimal and cheap, there are clear recordings of all the main entrances. Just before the time of the fight, the back entrance camera went black. We both swore and ran out to see that it had been smashed.

After about ten minutes we realised one thing. She wasn't in the pub…and neither was Bryson. Austin, already beside himself as Reid and Raff's calls went unanswered, turned into a whole other person. Resembling his brother, he stormed around the pub, berating everyone for what had clearly happened—Bryson was the accomplice we had been searching for, and he had taken our girl straight out the back door uninterrupted. The person he berated the most was himself.

I watch on helplessly, heart thumping after my outburst, as he interrupts whoever is on the other end of the line. "Aria's missing! She's been taken from the pub. We need you guys back here now! Raff, Raff, did you hear me? Fuck's sake Raff are you still there? Raff!"

I move over to him and take the phone from his hand before he screams our whole apartment building down in his terrified rage. He sinks to his knees on the carpet, head held in his hands.

"You there, Raff?" I ask.

"What the fuck do you mean she's missing? How could she have gone with you both there? Where are you now? I can't believe you—"

"Shut up for a minute! We need you here.
